LEVEL*

1.5

This is our Introductory Hong Kong 101 Crash Course to the most classic, and quintessentially Hong Kong foods that you must-try before leaving Hong Kong, all in 3.5 hours. It’s a well known secret amongst us locals that Sham Shui Po is a food haven, (also the poorest district in Hong Kong) and now we’re letting you in on the secret. Shhhhh.

Highlights include a meander through a busy wet market, a Chinese Herbalist visit, and a demonstration of how wonton noodles get made with a bamboo pole. Of course, the food will be epic: HK style BBQ meats, wonton noodles, milk tea & dessert, egg waffles, and Michelin starred dimsum.

This walking food tour is ideal for travellers with little to no exposure to Hong Kong foods. We handpick our local mom & pop shops, build rapport with them so you don’t have to waste time & calories eating touristy bad food. Next level up is The Off-the-Eaten-Path Street Food in Whampoa food tour (intermediate level), and you won’t find any of the foods in your guide books.

* Please see our Fishballs’ Food Adventurous Scale to see why this tour has been rated a 1.5.
